    Class SearchCodebaseTool

    MCP tool for searching across all TypeScript source files in a project. Supports three modes: literal text, regular expression, and TypeScript named-declaration (symbol) lookup.

    Use during bug investigation to locate where a string constant is defined, find every file that references a specific error message, or locate the declaration of an unknown symbol encountered in a stack trace.
